ESU 13 Description:
Educational Service Unit 13 (ESU 13) provides core services of staff development, technology, and instructional materials for 21 member school districts in the eleven counties of the Panhandle. ESU 13 coordinates the Early Development Network for parents of children with disabilities, Migrant Education, Professional Learning, the Panhandle Early Learning Collaborative Partnership (regional early learning training), Psychological and mental health Services, Alternative Education – VALTS (a transitioning learning school), and Special Services such as the Meridian School ( children with disabilities) and OT/PT services including services for the deaf. ESU 13 provides the previously mentioned variety of high-quality services to 21 member school districts across 11 counties, nearly 1,450 professional educators, 300 support staff, and 13,800 K-12 students.
