Region 6 Behavioral Healthcare

Region 6 Behavioral Healthcare (Region 6) is a quasi-governmental entity, originally established through state legislation enacted in 1974.  Region 6 is comprised of Cass, Dodge, Douglas, Sarpy, and Washington counties.  Region 6 contracts with agencies in this five county area that provide mental health and substance abuse services to persons who meet financial eligibility guidelines.

In addition, Region 6 provides case management services for severely emotionally disturbed children and their families through the Professional Partner Program and a Rental Assistance Program for eligible persons who are recovering from a severe and persistent mental illness.

The Region 6 Prevention Program also provides funding and technical assistance to local community coalitions that work toward the prevention and/or reduction of tobacco, alcohol and other drug use in our communities.
