Panhandle Mental Health Center

Panhandle Mental Health Center is dedicated to providing quality behavioral health services that encourage healthy lifestyles.  Panhandle Mental Health Center (PMHC) officially began on February 1, 1969.  At that time, the clinic was staffed by a psychiatrist, chaplain, clinical psychologist, psychiatric nurse and a secretary.  PMHC addressed the need for community-based services in this rural setting and was the first mental health center in the State of Nebraska.

From this relatively small beginning, PMHC continues to grow both in terms of staff and services that are provided.  Today, approximatley 65 individuals are employeed with PMHC and our programs cover a full range of outpatient services.

PMHC's main office is located at 4110 Avenue D in Scottsbluff, Nebraska and we maintain satellite offices in Alliance, sidney and 1 additional Scottsbluff location.

PMHC is accredited by the Commission on Accreditation of Rehailitation Facilities (CARF), and has been for over 10 years and PMHC strives to meet their standards for excellence.
