Nebraska Urban Indian Health Coalition

The Nebraska Urban Indian Health Coalition (NUIHC) is a private, non-profit 501(c)(3) organization incorporated in the State of Nebraska. We provide community health care and services targeting the urban American Indian and Alaska Native population in the greater Omaha metropolitan area, Lincoln-Lancaster metropolitan area, and Sioux City, Iowa. We are state-recognized and our rehabilitative health care services are nationally accredited through the Commission on the Accrediation of Rehabilitation Facilities. Our diabetes self-management program is nationally accredited through the Diabetes Education Accrediation Program. We have been serving our community since 1986.

Although some services and programs are offered to eligible Native patients only, most primary care services are available to everyone regardless of race, color, sex, national origin, disability, religion, sexual orientation or inability to pay. The NUIHC serves all patients and offers discounted fees to those who qualify. We accept most insurances including Medicaid, Medicare, Children’s Health Insurance Program and private insurance.
