Do you want to make a difference in someone's life? The Lincoln Regional Center is looking for an individual for the permanent full-time position of Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner/APRN. The Lincoln Regional Center is a Joint Commission accredited state psychiatric facility. Come join our team and help someone rebuild their life one step at a time.

Incumbent will function as a licensed independent practitioner at Lincoln Regional Center to have a caseload of psychiatric and/or court patients committed by the Mental Health Board or courts system. They will assist patient flow, address waiting lists at LRC, and comply with CMS, State, and Joint Commission regulations while ensuring psychiatric standards are adhered to. Position will collaborate and consult with a physician in performance of duties to obtain medical histories, perform medical procedures, conduct psychiatric examinations, diagnosis, treat and manage common and/or chronic health problems and participate in the treatment planning process.

Work schedule: Monday - Friday 8am - 5pm, on-call every 9 weeks

Job Requirements

REQUIREMENTS: Successful completion of an accredited program for Registered Nurse and Nurse Practitioner. Incumbents must have a current, valid license as a Registered Nurse and be certified as a Nurse Practitioner in the State of Nebraska. Required to maintain certification for the licensing by the State of Nebraska.

PREFERRED: Psychiatric specialization/certification or clinical experience working with patients. Experience working as a Nurse Practitioner within a clinical setting or equivalent experience. Experience working in Behavioral Health. Current CPR/ALCS certification.
