Responsible for the development, planning, and implementation of comprehensive counseling services and prevention education programs designed to increase student retention and success. Will serve as the College’s Licensed Independent Mental Health Practitioner (LIMHP) for on-call crisis counseling and assessment of student needs in crisis situations, and will provide consultation to college personnel as needed. Will develop and implement prevention education programs related to substance abuse, Title IX, mental health resources, and other areas pertinent to student well-being/success. Successful candidate will have primary office located on the Columbus, NE campus. This position will travel to other locations as necessary.
-Master’s Degree in Counseling or other related field
-State of Nebraska Licensed Independent Mental Health Practitioner, minimum of 3 years experience
-Five or more years experience as a licensed clinician
-Must possess advanced interpersonal skills needed to advise and resolve sensitive matters with students, faculty and staff, and to address conflict or crisis situations
-Must possess ability to work effectively with increasingly diverse populations.
-Experience supervising other Mental Health Practitioners is required.
