Team oriented, forward thinking psychologist to practice integrated mental health/health psychology working with clients/patients of all ages to improve overall wellbeing. Will also have strong professional relationship skills to develop collegial relationships to benefit patients and advance mental health care integration with other specialties.

Clinical Psychologist Role

The clinical psychologist will provide services through Bryan Counseling Center and other settings, with a focus to integrate mental health with overall health. Bryan Counseling Center is an outpatient mental health clinic that is part of the Bryan Medical Center behavioral health continuum of services. Counseling Center staff includes psychologists and therapists with special training to work with children, adolescents, adults and families.

The clinical psychologist will provide a range services at the Counseling Center and other integrated health settings including:

  • Individual therapy for patients adjusting to a medical diagnosis including patients who have recently received care in various medical areas throughout Bryan Medical Center
  • Psychological evaluations to determine readiness for:
    • Bariatric surgery
    • Spinal cord stimulation
  • Individual therapy to patients in other communities using telemedicine technology
  • General outpatient mental health services

Job Requirements

Current unrestricted license to practice psychology in the State of Nebraska required.  Doctoral degree in Psychology required.  Licensure or certification at the independent level of psychology to furnish diagnostic, assessment, preventive, and therapeutic services directly to individuals.  Minimum of two (2) years experience working with mental health populations in assessing, diagnosing disorders, treatment planning, conducting psychological evaluations and providing therapy to patients required.  Basic Life Support (CPR) certification required.
