Job Description

Mid-Plains Center for Behavioral Healthcare Services, Inc. is currently seeking an Assistant Director for our Crisis Stabilization Unit (CSU). This unit is a 12 bed, high-paced mental health stabilization and medically assisted detox unit, and is the only unit of its kind in the state.

The CSU Assistant Director works a 40 hour work week, with daytime hours from 8 am to 5 pm. The CSU Assistant Director oversees the day-to-day operations of the unit and reports directly to the VP/COO.

As a key member of the CSU, this position is responsible for developing effective working relationships with colleagues to promote a collaborative, team-oriented, and solution-focused environment, while improving service delivery to meet client needs.

The ideal candidate has supervisory and program management experience, along with knowledge of data collection/analysis and quality improvement standards/processes. This position is responsible for ensuring that electronic health system records are correctly entered and communicating up-to-date information to all unit employees.

Job Requirements


  • Bachelor’s Degree.
  • Two or more years of job-related work experience.
  • Communication skills including phone and writing/editing skills.
  • Computer skills (word processing, spreadsheet) required.
  • Excellent organizational skills.
