Job Description

Community Alliance, offering an integrated health care approach and built on an array of mental health, primary care and rehabilitation and recovery services, is seeking licensed mental health practitioners (LMHP, LIMHP, PLMHP) to provide therapy in its outpatient services. Best fit are individuals with a passion for working with vulnerable populations and comfortable in collaborating with other professionals to empower clients to achieve self-defined goals.

Ideal candidates would be dually credentialed therapists, with their mental health licensure (LMHP, LIMHP, PLMHP) and substance use licensure (LADC or PLADC). Will provide assessment, individual and group counseling to individuals served at Community Alliance. Work as a member of a multi-disciplinary care team to develop, and help clients progress through integrated treatment plans that comprehensively address biopsychosocial needs. On site licensure supervision provided. Work schedule: Monday-Friday, day hours.

Job Requirements


  • Master’s degree in social work or counseling
  • Currently licensed in good standing as a Mental Health Practitioner in the State of Nebraska (LMHP; PLMHP; LIMHP; LADC; PLADC)
  • Experience in working with individuals with substance use disorders preferred
  • Knowledge of signs and symptoms of mental disorders
  • Knowledge, training, and/or experience in effectively working with individuals with serious mental illness, co-occurring substance use disorders, and co-morbid physical conditions
  • Demonstrated clinical decision-making skills appropriate for client’s care and safety
  • Demonstrated ability in utilizing motivational interviewing and principles of recovery to deliver results-oriented, person-centered care
  • Affinity for working collaboratively as a member of a multi-disciplinary team
  • Excellent written/verbal communication and critical thinking skills
  • Ability to connect, communicate, and effectively work with people from diverse cultural, ethnic, socio-economic, educational, and professional backgrounds
