Job Description

We are hiring individuals who have a passion for working with children on the Autism Spectrum. Individuals who are hired will be trained as Behavior Technicians (BT) and will take the test to become a Registered Behavior Technician (RBT). A BT/RBT is responsible for the following:

  • Providing direct client care in one-on-one and group settings
  • Following the behavior reduction and behavioral skill acquisition protocols
  • Collecting and recording data based on client behavior
  • Communicating with clients, parents, and caregivers regarding client progress
  • Assisting behavior analysts and assistant behavior analysts with behavior reduction assessments and skills acquisition
  • Assisting behavior analysts and assistant behavior analysts in the preparation of client materials
  • Additional responsibilities as needed

Job Requirements

Those applying should have excellent time management skills, written and verbal communication skills. Individuals must be able to develop strong relationships with clients, client families, co-workers, supervisors and the community. Due to the amount of training involved, only those applicants able to commit to at least 9 months will be considered. Part time and Full time may apply. To apply, the individual must:

  • Be at least 18 years old
  • Hold a high school diploma or the equivalent
  • CPR Certification Or plan to receive in the beginning of hiring process
  • Resume

Then commit to:

  • Complete at least 40 hours of training
  • Pass a criminal background check
  • Pass the RBT® Competency Assessment
  • Pass the RBT® exam
