Madonna Rehabilitation Hospitals is currently hiring for a full-time position available in the Neuropsychology Department of our Omaha, NE Campus.
Madonna has been awarded multiple grants to develop a Post-COVID Model System of Care. Madonna will offer in-depth interdisciplinary evaluation and treatment of persons struggling with post-COVID symptomatology. The psychologist will work with an experienced and committed group of professionals, including physical, occupational and speech therapists, vision therapy, and Physiatry. The psychologist will administer batteries of standardized tests to assess cognition, mood, and behavioral disorders, implement and/or supervise psychological counseling, and consult with the interdisciplinary team. This position will be primarily clinical but will include some research collaboration with Madonna’s Institute for Rehabilitation Science and Engineering, which is under the direction of Dr. Judy Burnfield, a nationally recognized researcher in the field of rehabilitation. We anticipate that the Post-COVID Model System will be heavily research-based and will actively coordinate with other facilities and levels of care across the region and nation.
Madonna is a national leader in the field of physical and medical rehabilitation, and serves patients across multiple levels of care including Acute Rehabilitation, Long-Term Acute Care Hospital, Skilled Nursing, Rehabilitation Day Program, and Outpatient Services. Madonna has maintained CARF accreditation continuously for over 30 years. Our hospitals already provide active and research-supported interdisciplinary clinics for persons experiencing Mild Traumatic Brain Injury.
The psychologist would join Madonna’s collegial and experienced department of four neuropsychologists and three rehabilitation counselors. We typically have practicum students training in our department through our relationships with several local colleges. Frequent opportunities for departmental didactic training as well as transdisciplinary interaction are available. Opportunities often exist for the supervision of trainees.

The ideal applicant will have interest and experience in medical, rehabilitation, or health psychology and some experience in the administration of cognitive and psychological tests. Coursework and/or training in neuropsychology is a helpful qualification, but not required for consideration for the position. Additional training and education can be provided in cognitive assessment, if needed. Must possess a doctoral degree in psychology, and current NE licensure or eligible to obtain licensure within 14 months of hire.
