Job Description

As a Director of Behavioral Health Services, you will lead and further develop Affinity Community Counseling services by overseeing all aspects of therapy services.

 What You’ll do

  • Oversee contracted relationships with Affinity therapists, ensuring quality documentation, billing integrity and services are provided in safe and therapeutic environments. 
  • Organize and directs the positions responsible for writing, updating, and communicating with teams on programming for HCBS services. Actively involved in the development of requested Functional Behavioral Assessments (FBAs) and Behavior Support Plans (BSPs) under approved authorizations. 
  • Provide direction and monitoring for those receiving RISK services in the state of NE, including assisting with writing, and tracking of all exception requests submitted. Conducts file reviews to support CSN intake decisions.
  • Design, direct, or deliver individual specific training and technical/clinical assistance for CSN employees supporting persons with behavioral health needs.
  • Meet financial goals through strategic planning and execution, overseeing all aspects of client eligibility, service documentation, claims and payments.

 What You’ll need

  • Licensure as an Independent Mental Health Practitioner (LIMHP)
  • Master’s degree with a major in social work or counseling
  • Valid driver’s license and current auto insurance
  • 2 years of experience working in mental health field
  • Willing to learn and physically capable of implementing crisis intervention techniques

 Preferred Skills & Experience: (Nice to have but not necessary)

  • 5 years experience in human services
  • 2 years supervisory experience in mental health
