This is a professional human services position with Community Corrections utilizing advanced counseling and therapeutic techniques to assist clients in the community work toward the resolution of varied mental health and substance use problems.
This clinical position works in multiple program areas including Pretrial Release, Adult Drug Court, DUI Court, Treatment Diversion, Intensive Supervision Diversion, Mental Health Diversion, and Reentry Services.
Work involves screening for behavioral health problems or concerns and providing research-based clinical interventions to program clientele. This position serves as a member of the multidisciplinary team and attends participant-staffing meetings including Drug Court and/or DUI Court staffing meetings as assigned.
The Mental Health Clinician II reports findings to appropriate agencies or personnel to ensure informed decisions are made regarding participant progress.
This position reports directly to the Director of Community Corrections.
Minimum Qualifications: Master's degree in social work, psychology, or related field plus 5 years of experience as a Mental Health Clinician; or any equivalent combination of training and experience.
Necessary Special Requirement: Possession of a Licensed Independent Mental Health Practitioner (LIMPH) credential.
