Primary Function:
Incumbent works under the direction of the Director of Nursing, or designee, providing professional psychiatric nursing care to acutely and chronically ill patients and assists supervisor in providing direction and training to other Community Mental Health Center (CMHC) staff.
As a Federal Contractor and Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS), Community Mental Health Center employees are required to be fully vaccinated for COVID-19 upon employment.
Qualifications:
- Associate's degree, Diploma or BSN from an accredited college or university in nursing required.
- Must be a Registered Nurse with current nursing license from Nebraska or a compact state recognized by the Nebraska Board of Nursing at the time of hire, and maintain the license in good standing throughout the course of employment.
- Nursing experience in an acute care facility preferred.
- Current CPR, first aid course and CPI within 6 months of hire.
