SUMMARY DESCRIPTION OF WORK

Evaluate and monitor agency compliance with government and other grants and contracts while assisting the Chief Development Officer (CDO), Chief Operating Officer (COO), and Vice Presidents. Develop and write grants and proposals in collaboration with program and fiscal staff. Develop and monitor budgets in collaboration with fiscal and program staff. Assist with oversight of grant management processes and collaborate with contract and grant team members. Evaluate grant opportunities with program staff. Communicate effectively and proactively with program and fiscal staff. Requires daily decision-making, analysis, problem solving, and ongoing corporate task prioritization.

Compensation range: between $48,800 and $52,000 per year (salary is based upon years of experience)
Work Schedule: 40 hours per week

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • *Works with COO, Vice Presidents, Fiscal Staff, and Program Directors to write grants, develop grant/contract budgets, and assure systems to track grant reporting data and outcomes are in place.
  • *In close collaboration with Programs and the Fiscal Department, monitors funding requirements of grants and contracts for monthly reporting, evaluation, and participates in compliance and audit activities as necessary.
  • *Analyzes grants and contracts on an ongoing basis to ensure agency programs are compliant with stated specifications and requirements and that program and fiscal reporting is completed on time. Assist with compliance reviews and follow-up as needed.
  • *Effectively utilizes and maintains the grant and contract management database.
  • *Assists with Agency, Fiscal, and Program audits as requested.
  • *Collaborates with other Contract and Grant team members as needed, reviews team applications, and assists with updating support materials for grants and contracts.
  • *Assists with grant prospect research and vetting of grant opportunities.
  • *In collaboration with the Fiscal Department and programs, facilitates Fiscal Grant Management meetings and processes to assure the agency tracks and monitors grant/contract expenditures, and that funding organizations receive accurate and timely draws, invoices, or claims for program expenditures at required intervals. Completes budget modifications or other requests as needed.
  • Work with agency Data Team and Quality Improvement Team to gather accurate information for reports.
  • *Works with the Grant Team and other departments to continuously improve systems to ensure timely completion and receipt of required contract and grant reports, grant database updates, and required data entry.
  • *Is dependable and punctual regarding scheduling and attendance.
  • *Supports a Trauma-Informed Care environment.
  • Abides by all specific program and Agency procedures, policies, and requirements.
  • Cooperates and collaborates with program staff, volunteers, and other Agency staff.
  • Displays a courteous and caring attitude at all times to the clientele, volunteers, and visitors of the Agency.
  • *Creates, maintains, and shares as appropriate a dynamic self-care plan.
  • *Strives to make connections between the agency and the larger community whenever possible to contribute to the agency’s ongoing fundraising and friend-raising efforts.
  • *Essential functions of this job to be performed on company physical work site unless otherwise agreed and documented.
  • Performs other program related duties as assigned.

Job Requirements

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor's Degree and two years’ experience.

  • Proficient in the use of Microsoft Excel and possess knowledge and understanding of other Microsoft Office software.

  • Valid Driver’s License/ acceptable driving record
