The Position
South Central Behavioral Services is currently seeking a Certified Medication Aid to work with adults in a homelike setting. Staff work with residents on daily routines, as well as medication administration. There is no “hands on care”. Record keeping includes daily progress notes and using an Electronic Medication Record (EMAR). The starting salary with an active Medication Aide Certification is $18.00 an hour, with a hiring bonus of $500 after 6 months of successful employment. Quarterly bonuses based on productivity and performance are also available. The ideal candidate would need to demonstrate one of the following: two years lived experience; two years direct care experience in a human service field; two years of training in a human service field or a bachelor’s degree or higher in psychology, sociology or related human service field, which is preferred.
