Job Opportunity:  Health and Rehabilitation Counselor

Madonna Rehabilitation Hospitals is currently hiring for a full-time position as a Rehabilitation or Health Counselor (LMHP or LIMHP) in the Neuropsychology Department of our Lincoln, NE Campus.  This position could involve both inpatient and outpatient rehabilitation counseling, depending on preferences and needs. 

 Job duties will include working with members of our interdisciplinary teams to provide counseling, support, and education to persons with a variety of conditions requiring rehabilitation.   These conditions include persons with severe injuries (such as traumatic brain injury and spinal cord injury) and persons recovering from ‘long COVID’ or mild traumatic brain injury. 

The Counselor will work with an experienced and committed team of professionals, including physical, occupational and speech therapists, as well as medical professionals.

The Counselor would join Madonna’s collegial and experienced department of four neuropsychologists and three rehabilitation counselors.  Opportunities exist for the supervision of trainees. 

Requirements are flexible.  Must possess current NE licensure (typically LMHP) or eligible to obtain licensure within 14 months of hire.  Training and experience in the health psychology is a helpful qualification, but we will consider well-trained generalists with good counseling skills and a willingness to learn.
