Job Description

Seeking social workers - including recent grads - who want to become psychotherapists in private practice. This position is part-time, hybrid in Lincoln, Nebraska with the option to see clients remotely. Preference is for a social worker who is located in Lincoln or nearby and is looking to work part time as a psychotherapist.

This job is perfect for people who are passionate about social service but are looking to earn additional income or receive supervision towards licensure. If you do not have your provisional license but do have your MSW, help navigating the state licensure process can be provided. Social Workers already holding an LMHP / LIMHP but interested in becoming part-time psychotherapists are also welcome to apply.

Job Requirements

Requirements

  • Master of Social Work (MSW) Required (recent graduates welcome!) [Note: the position is for social workers only, PLMHP/LMHP/LIMHPs from other mental health disciplines are not included]
  • Willingness to learn and grow as a mental health provider
  • Willing to become certified in at least one therapeutic modality (such as CBT, DBT, CPT, Gottman Method, etc.)
  • Willing to be trained in and follow HIPAA guidelines to protect client health information
  • Attendance at weekly supervision towards licensure if provisionally licensed
  • State license not required to apply but will be required before work can begin (licensure application help available)
  • Able to practice in office in Lincoln or remotely at times based on client needs
  • Performance of 25 client sessions per month (5-6 per week) once fully credentialed
  • This practice serves a diverse variety of clients and requires social worker employees to adhere to the NASW Code of Ethics and develop their own cultural competence as a provider.
