Job Description

Position Overview
South Central Behavioral Services (SCBS) is seeking a full-time Billing Specialist to join our team. The ideal candidate will have experience in billing and coding, including knowledge of CPT codes, copays, and coinsurances, as well as a solid understanding of insurance processes and general accounting. Proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel is essential, as is the ability to work diligently and independently.  In addition to billing tasks, general administrative duties as assigned.

Qualifications

  • Experience in billing and coding
  • Knowledge of CPT codes, copays, and coinsurances
  • Understanding of insurance practices and general accounting
  • Proficient in Microsoft Word and Excel
  • Minimum of an associate degree; bachelor’s degree preferred

Compensation
Starting annual salary range: $35,000 - $38,000, with bonuses based on productivity and performance. SCBS offers a comprehensive benefits package, including company-paid health, dental, and life insurance, as well as paid time off.
