The Mental Health Counselor will counsel individuals and groups to promote optimum mental health with a focus on suicide prevention and intervention. The Mental Health Counselor will help youth and their families deal with thoughts of suicide; addictions and substance abuse; family, parenting, and marital problems; stress management; problems with self-esteem; and issues associated with aging and mental and emotional health.  This is a full-time/ 40 hour per week position.

The therapist uses a therapeutic model to provide in-home family services.  Builds on the strengths of the families to resolve issues and maintain the family as a whole.  The therapist provides coordination of all team staff members that are assigned to the case .  Will be required to attend professional meetings, court and provide services to the family in their home and community settings. Therapist works with high risk families. Flexible schedule, home office (travel to family homes), great benefits.
