Nebraska Hematology and Oncology is located in Lincoln, Nebraska, and is searching for a full-time, highly skilled psychiatric APRN who is passionate about caring for oncology patients and improving their quality of life. The APRN would lead and direct a behavioral health program and evaluate the psychiatric care of hematology-oncology patients in ambulatory health services through diagnosing acute and chronic mental health illnesses, implementing a plan of care with pharmacological and non-pharmacological agents, and providing psychiatric-specific teaching and supportive counseling to patients, families, and groups.  The APRN will also collaborate with provider colleagues in the psychiatric care and treatment of hematology-oncology and palliative care patients.  

Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner Full time, Monday-Friday, Schedule may be flexible.   Areas of Responsibility:   Support the goals, philosophy, and objectives of Community Action Health Center (CAHC).  Work collaboratively with the psychiatrist to provide patient assessment and diagnosis, formulate treatment plans, prescribe medications, order laboratory tests, interpret test results, provide patient education, prepare medical records, and refer patients for inpatient care in accordance with statues, regulations and protocols regulating the profession.   Respectful of the confidentiality of the patients, co-workers, and clinic.   Major Duties: Provide behavioral health patient assessment, diagnosis, and treatment plans in accordance with statutes, regulations and protocols regulating the profession.
